RE: headphones
i was in b & q recently and saw a headphone pillow - you just plug your player into it and no one else can hear it apparantly. its better than wearing headphones in bed.

i like b and q, because their marketing person must be so proud they thought to buy 'diy.com' when the interweb was still new.

i got two of these for alex and his gf for christmas - they're hats you plug your ipod into...

alternatively the best headphones john-paul had were in-ear ones

like those. but personally they went too far in for me to be comfortable wearing them, although he thought they were fine

RE: headphones
I use some from the sony shop, I cant use the bud type, but I do use in the ear and these have a little rubber lump that pushes into the ear canal, by far the best cheap headphones I have used in a long while and at £10 you can't really complain. Got them out of the sony store*.

RE: headphones
cant be doing with the in ear type, can wear them in my right but they irritate my left ear if worn for any length of time

i'll try richer sounds for some over ear ones at the weekend, hopefully be able to try them on first
