RE: GT5 appears in playable form, and with damage
I just find the GT series one of the most overhyped racing games on the market. They take forever to release the next game and then its always missing something. Considering every other development house manages to put out about 1 a year, I really don't understand what all the fuss is about. It might also be noted that I am not into racers.

I want a play-seat thingy, so I can set up my 900 degree rotation wheel and pedals.

RE: GT5 appears in playable form, and with damage
im with spanky, gt the first one was great, every game since has had the same tests and races n stuff, nothing new, its basically the same game with better graphics which defeats the point and yeah it takes forever to come out with all the concept versions and shit they release

I agree slightly with Spanky,
BUT Id say that GT5 will be something special for those able to put the time into it.

RE: GT5 appears in playable form, and with damage
GT Planet calls all this 'incredible news' and lists their pick of the OPM preview as:
* 1,000+ vehicles * All vehicles have modeled cockpits (170 premium cars will have interior damage modeling) * All vehicles will have both physical and mechanical damage modeling * Indy (IRL) cars and tracks * NASCAR cars and track * Up to 16 players online * High-definition video uploads directly to YouTube * Multi-display rendering * Head-tracking * Full weather and night racing on all tracks * Night/Day on all tracks some very cool features there, this is gonna be amazing

RE: GT5 appears in playable form, and with damage
exactly how a game can look better than real life I don't know, especially when everything is supposed to be photo realistic. Read: marketing hype. As far as GT is concerned, I'll believe it when its on the shelf, presuming my ps3 works by then ofcourse
![]() Not that I will buy the game anyway. Spankys Blog |
